Marcus Leon

Marcus is the Director of Programmes at Grit Breakthrough Programmes. With a background in youth development, programme design, and fundraising, Marcus brings a wealth of experience creating and delivering impactful initiatives that support young people to thrive.

Marcus first came across Grit as a participant in one of our programmes for staff. He has worked extensively across community and education settings, leading programmes that focus on personal development, wellbeing, and employability. Marcus is passionate about building high-quality, meaningful experiences that empower young people to realise their potential and navigate challenges with confidence.

At Grit, Marcus leads the strategic development and delivery of programmes, ensuring they are impactful, scalable, and rooted in the organisation’s core methodology.

A proud Londoner, where he is currently based, Marcus remains closely connected to the communities he serves. Outside of work, he enjoys cooking, sport, and travelling, and is always looking for new experiences and cultures to explore.
