Sarah Douthwaite

Sarah originally trained as an actor, completing a BA Honours in Musical Theatre at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, before going on to complete her PGCE in Further Education and becoming a Lecturer of Performing Arts. Sarah worked in a variety of colleges both teaching on, and later managing, Level 2 and Level 3 Performing Arts courses.  Working with and supporting young people has always been at the heart of her work. 

Sarah began working at Grit in 2018 as a Programme Manager and returned in 2022, moving into the role of Impact and Evaluation Coordinator.  She is back again in the role of Programme Manager, following the birth of her second little boy.  Sarah is full of her trademark excitement to be back managing programmes again.

Sarah is a spreadsheet enthusiast and thrives working in an environment where personal and professional development is the driving force. Sarah is open and always up for a challenge!

Sarah lives on a farm and, having been born in the city, loves indulging in her new countryside life and taking her two young boys on the tractors.
