Sarah Douthwaite

Sarah originally trained as an actor, completing a BA Honours in Musical Theatre at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, before going on to complete her PGCE in Further Education and becoming a Lecturer of Performing Arts. Sarah worked in a variety of colleges both teaching on, and later managing, Level 2 and Level 3 Performing Arts courses.  Working with and supporting young people has always been at the heart of her work. 

Sarah began working at Grit in 2018 as a Programme Manager and returned in 2022, developing into the role of Impact and Evaluation Coordinator.  She has just returned from maternity leave, after having a second little boy.  Sarah is full of her trademark excitement to be back working with the team again.

Sarah is a spreadsheet enthusiast and thrives working in an environment where personal and professional development is the driving force. Sarah is open and always up for a challenge!

Sarah lives on a farm and, having been born in the city, loves indulging in her new countryside life and taking her two young boys on the tractors.
