Supporting Grit

We are so grateful to generosity of all our supporters - corporate partners, trusts and individual donors. It is thanks to them that we are able to continually develop new and innovative ways to support those young people who have the odds stacked against them. It is thanks to our supporters that we can support these young people to turn their education into a life-changing opportunity, to make it a launch pad for a thriving and successful future.

We are a small charity and what we do can be complex and time-consuming. But it has a real and lasting impact on young people’s lives. Every contribution, from every supporter, makes all the difference.

“In Grit I see the passion, the commitment, a can-do mindset coupled with huge expertise. And this is critical for us at Octopus.  We’ve got around 1000 members of staff with a massive range of skills so we want to support charities where our money AND our expertise can make a real difference.”

Simon Rogerson, Founder and CEO of the Octopus Group

“When we’re talking about charitable donations you want to know that you're getting bang for your buck. Is it going to make a difference to somebody's life? Well, it’s not uncommon to get feedback from Grit participants describing it as life-changing.”

Neil Basu, Grit Trustee and Retired Assistant Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police Service
